Jesus birthday is wrong, and the watchtower also claims this, but his birthday has nothing to do with the 606/607/1914 thingy.

Is jesus birthday year wrong?
by Smoky inyou guys probably heard this before, but it is a 1st for me.. i was watching some of the jesus/christmas history documentaries over the holidays, and for the most part it was the information i heard before in documentaries, but then bam!!,.
it is said that the 'person/church' who calculated the year jesus was born, are off by 3 to 7 years....wow.. have any of you heard this before?.
so, does that mean the whole 1914 calculation is messed up?.

the seven year itch
by Crumpet inex -mr crumpet and i after just shy of 8 years together have found we are arguing more and more and have decided to split up.
since we made the decision on monday this week we have been getting on like a house on fire.
the arguments have stopped, he is on time for all his appointments to meet, which hasn't happened in years, he phones if he's going to be late and i have stopped being a moody cow and drinking all his wine without permission.. the hope is that we will get back together and find eahc other attractive again after a break from one another.

I didn't read that part till after my post, Your are too free thinking in opinion, marriage has great Responsibilities, if changing teams is so easy for you, then you have a problem.

I think the importance of Great Sex is very over-rated, like money, it don't buy happeness, and by the way, I am 46yo, I would never thought I had said this when I was in my 20's ! I do feel sorry for younger ones who feel that great sex will bring them happeness.

Wifey and I have known each other for 7 years and have being married for 5 years, she stills holds close at nights, so signs of an itch yet. One important thing is to be able to laugh at ourselves and never be selfish, doing 'little' things for each other. But maybe in 2 years time I'll be writing the same thing...hehe Hope not. I also have 2 teenage step-daughters. gasp!!!!!!

Would YOU Have Allowed Your Child To Die Instead Of Giving Blood?
by minimus inbe honest.
i believe there was a time we all would've done it or at least say we would've done it.

Every religion seems to need martyrs. Even when the “truth” was my own I wished that I would never be put to that test, so I don’t know what I would’ve done if death was my only choice, but what I have noticed was that when some unfortunate individual was put in that position they are always surround by elders and other “brothers” pushing them into not taking blood, reminding them how they will die at Armageddon if they take blood and that God will raise them in paradise if they die now. So I really wonder how many were really pushed to that decision, were they really making a free choice? The few times that any member of my family were booked into hospital I just told them we were Christian and didn’t mention JW’s, I told my wife that if we tell them we are JW’s we’ll have the elders on our backs making sure we don’t take blood.

ponder this!
by rekless inin the bible it says, "for those who die; they have been aquitted of their sins, "
so why do jws continue to shunn sinners, if we die we are better off than they are because our tresspasses have been forgiven.
what you think?

"After a nasty sewer backup, our KH had a talk about the proper disposal of tampons and diapers" yep! Put us down for that one too! I'm in Melb Australia. I was so disgusted with the speaker, he made no effect in trying to find the real reason for the blockage, I felt so sorry particularly for the single sisters who had to hear it, as it turned out once the plumber looked at it , it was because the pipe was cracked and weeds grew in it. The Speaker who was the PO was such a D-Head !

The WTS and the name Jehovah.
by The Lone Ranger inthe wts makes a big thing that they are the only ones who use god's name jehovah, firstly its not true that they are the only ones, but it is true that they make a big thing about it more then any other religion and they seem proud of this and to their eyes it shows they are the true relgion.
but in another sense they have use the name so much that they have almost turned it into a trade mark, like they almost have a copyright to it, many in the world now when they hear the word 'jehovah" don't think of god but think of jehovahs' witness's..some crazy cult relgion.
so really they may have done more to dishonor gods name then those who refuse to use it at all.
